Regular Content

Keeping users informed can go a long way towards building a relationship with new or prospective clients.

As with marketing, regular messaging can often help get you in the mind of recipients.  It is important to keep people engaged.

One message might make someone say, hey, this is interesting.  A second message might make the same person say, hey, I’ve heard of them, maybe I should read that.  A third message might make a recipient say, they, I’ve heard a lot about that company, maybe I should contact them and take action.

News releases are great regular content.  By keeping readers engaged, they will look forward to receiving your news and get to know your brand.  If you aren’t sure what to write about, here are some suggestions:

Potential News Release (press release / media release) Topics:

  • merger or partnership
  • free service or resource offered
  • survey or forum to discuss a topic
  • celebrity appearance
  • company event
  • online promotion
  • participation in a trade show
  • findings of a report you conducted
  • milestone anniversary
  • holiday event
  • new sponsorship or ad campaign
  • tips, article or advice
  • human interest story
  • product recalls
  • new product or service announcement
  • financial announcement
  • in the news – announce coverage of your company in the news

These are just a few potential topics but be creative in your content.  There are an unlimited number of topics and you’re only limited by your creativity.  Simply, keep in mind that your goal should be to announce something that people actually may, eh hem, want to read.
